Healy Point Country Club is located in the heart of the River North Community just 15 minutes from downtown Macon, with the entrance only one mile from Interstate 75 on Arkwright Rd. Standing at the highest point in the River North development is an elegant and spacious clubhouse with a commanding view of our Gary Player designed 18-hole Championship Golf Course. Healy Point was developed on what was originally a thriving cotton plantation in the early 1800's. Construction of the clubhouse began in late 1972, thus a premier private club was established, and the tradition began with its gala opening in 1974 as the River North Country Club.

On February 1, 2001 local developers Earl Barrs and Buddy Glawson purchased River North and the newest chapter in our Club's history had begun. The general manager; Bob Babyok supervises the club on a daily basis with guidance from The Board of Governors. After an extensive selection process the Board of Governors unanimously voted to rename the club Healy Point in honor of Michael Morris Healy, the original settler who carved this place out of the wilderness along the banks of the Ocmulgee River.

In 2002 the grand new "lodge look" clubhouse was opened to rave reviews. The Club unveiled three new dining facilities where our Members enjoy both casual and formal environments, plus Club sponsored events and holiday celebrations. Additionally, the Club has facilities for private functions and parties ranging from intimate family dinners or business meetings to the trendiest wedding reception or family reunion.

Healy Point was created with our Members' enjoyment in mind. In addition to one of the most challenging and visually appealing golf courses in Georgia we have many first class amenities available. They include: a golf pro shop, a tennis pro shop, plush locker rooms, bag storage room, a casual bar and grille, a card room and Family grille. The enchantingly rustic Lakeview Room is spacious and open with a panoramic view of the 18th green. This room features a beautiful native stone fireplace and connects with the Harbor Lounge, where you will find an inviting atmosphere emphasizing the charming country atmosphere of Healy Point.

Overlooking the lush forest there is an enticing swimming pool, where swimming lessons are offered during the summer along with many other fun activities. The Club has ten lighted tennis courts, eight of which are HarTru clay courts, with two hard courts for lessons and practice. The Club enjoys a thriving Tennis program with many USTA league teams and lessons available from our highly qualified professional staff. Currently, we have over 900 members of the Club representing all segments of our diverse community. Healy Point strives to provide our Members with a friendly and warm atmosphere and to give the personal attention that can only be found in a fine private club.
