At Healy Plantation you find yourself literally in the middle of Georgia.  Located in Macon, Healy Plantation enjoys a wonderfully mild climate enhanced by our famous “Southern Hospitality.” Two interstate highways flow through Macon connecting its residents to most of the State’s major cities.  Healy Plantation residents can reach the Atlanta Airport in just over an hour and be in Savannah enjoying the historic Georgia Coast in about two and a half hours.  Macon is the center of commerce for all of Middle Georgia and boasts one of the State’s largest malls and countless restaurants and retail businesses.

Another benefit of Healy Plantation is that although it is located in Macon for all practical purposes, the development itself is located just inside Jones County, Georgia.  This means lower taxes for Healy Plantation residents.  A house located in Bibb County which is valued at $250,000 is taxed by Bibb County around $3,275 before any exemptions, that same house in Jones County is taxed around $2,950 before any exemptions – a savings of roughly $325.  Jones County does allow for a school exemption for those over the age of 62.
